‘Shaquille O’Neal has a family’: Dwight Howard responds to Lakers big man’s criticism
Dwight Howard took the high ground while responding to Shaquille O’Neal’s critical comments about his celebrations.
Ever since the Lakers won the title back in October, Shaq did not like some of the aspects related to it. He did not like how some players, who did not ‘contribute’ as much celebrating the win like they were the main reason for it. He meant it as a dig on Howard, who went overboard with the title celebrations.

Even after a while, Shaq, known for being brutally honest, said he has nothing to apologize to Dwight for. He stood by what he said back then.
Dwight Howard responds to all the criticism from Lakers legend
Howard had a very surprisingly mature take about this whole saga. He praised Shaq for all he has done for the game, and while saying he is ‘probably the most dominant player to ever play’, Howard also went on to say:
“If I had anything negative to say about him, I won’t ever say it in the public eye…he has family, he has kids and he has people who love him. I just wasn’t brought up that way. I respect him for all the work he’s done.”

This is a reaction a lot of people would not have expected from Dwight Howard some time ago. Maybe a ring brings around wisdom as well?
Howard also went on to say what was the best way to counter all the critics and naysayers:
“The way to beat him is to continue to play at a high level,” he added. “Just stay focused.”

This maturity on Howard’s part has been working out really well for him. Dwight looks to play for the Lakers again, but this time wants a raise on his contract, as he felt as the last one was too little.
