‘I have decided…’- Darren Till Teases a Move To a Higher Weight Division
Darren Till wants to switch to a higher weight division. Currently he is a part of the Middleweight roster.
Darren Till, who is currently ranked No.6 in the Middleweight weight class, has apparently decided to move up in the weight division. The fighter happens to have decided to enter in the Light Heavyweight circuit.
The 27-year-old is going through a rough patch lately. He is 2-3 (Win/Loss) in his last 5 matches.
In 2020 he has fought only once and though headlined the event (UFC Fight Island 3) alongside Robert Whittaker but, was on the losing end.
Known as the Gorilla, Darren Till was seemingly all set to present his candidature for the Middleweight title, as he was campaigning for a future fight against the division’s champion Israel Adesanya and in an attempt to solidify his stance he was scheduled to face Jack Hermansson on December 5, but pulled out a month before on account of an injury.
But now with his recent claim, it seems he wants to waive off the Middleweight title contention.

If he indeed steps in the 205-weight division, then this would he his third switch. Darren Till made his MMA debut in the Middleweight division and after a successful run entered the Welterweight section. In UFC he challenged Tyron Woodley for the Welterweight title, but fell short and could not present the required efficacy to defeat the then champion.
So, given that he makes the change, let’s see how Light heavyweight will pan out for him.
