Is Draymond Green playing tonight vs Bucks? Warriors release injury report ahead of Christmas Day game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co
Draymond Green is slated to miss out on the marquee Christmas Day matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
After a crushing 125-99 loss on opening night, Steve Kerr lamented how much Draymond Green’s absence has been hurting the Warriors. They needed some vocal leadership on defense to contain elite offensive players like Kevin Durant. This was missing in their defeat.
“We need his fire.”

The absence of Draymond Green has certainly affected the Warriors a lot. There are a lot of new pieces for the Warriors team, and the majority of them would have been acquainted with Curry’s style, but Curry was out most of last season.
Draymond Green ruled out of Warriors’ Christmas Day game with muscle strain
Green would be out tonight as well, due to muscle strain in his right foot. He has been participating in team practices and the Dubs hope that he would be back for the game against the Bulls on Sunday.
Another full day of practice for Draymond Green. Sounds like it’s trending toward a Sunday return in Chicago.

The Warriors are slated to take on the Milwaukee Bucks without their leader. Although Stephen Curry is the leader of the team in a lot of aspects, but on the floor, Draymond Green is the vocal leader.
Kerr also talked about how Draymond Green is the heart and soul of the Warriors.
“Draymond has been our heart and soul for as long as I’ve been here. We need his fire. That was apparent tonight. We fell behind early, we got a little discouraged. … That’s what makes Draymond the player that he is.”
“He is going to inspire us when he’s back. He’ll bring the level of competition up, the level of defense up. We look forward to that.”
The Warriors take on the Bucks for their Christmas matchup at 2.30 PM ET. The match will be telecast on ESPN nationally.
