How Minecraft Education Edition is helping students worldwide

Minecraft is one game that shows no signs of stopping. It often tops lists as the most popular game. One aspect of Minecraft that not everyone knows about it Minecraft Education edition. 

After Minecraft, and Minecraft Pocket Edition that is designed for mobile devices the education edition was designed for classrooms. Mojang studios is behind it and this edition is four years old now. The game is available on multiple devices and Microsoft is adding many features to make it easy to use for students and teachers.

How Minecraft Education Edition is helping students –

Minecraft is already very popular in school going kids. For teachers it acts as a tool to make their lessons more more interactive. It provides them an opportunity to engage more fully with students. Students can collaborate with up to 30 students and work together.

Additionally, a Microsoft 365 account is required to log into Education Edition.

• iOS 8 or later

Chrome OS – 

• Chrome OS version 81 or newer.
• Device that supports Play Store apps.
• ~500 MB Hard Drive storage free (250MB client + Space for worlds) per account on the device.

How to download Minecraft Education Edition :

The game costs around $5 and €4.21 per year. Schools and districts that already have MinecraftEdu can get the Education Edition for free. You need to have an Office365 Education account. After purchasing the yearly fee one can download the game from the official site.
