“In your quest for 30-0, you have to beat somebody. So beat me”: Michael Chandler mentions Khabib Nurmagomedov in a fearless statement post UFC 257 win over Dan Hooker
Michael Chandler was upbeat after beating Dan Hooker at UFC 257. Post-match the fighter called out Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Michael Chandler makes the best possible start to his UFC stint. At UFC 257 the Iron was up against the No.6 Lightweight in the face of Dan Hooker. The matchup was the co-main event of the night and was pitted to produce fireworks. However, what ultimately transpired at the event was a one-sided victory of the former Bellator MMA Lightweight Champion, Michael Chandler.
In the match, Hooker entered as the slight favorite and Chandler as the Underdog. It was a cautious start from both ends until the kicks started to land in from both sides.
At the start of the second minute of the first round, Chandler landed a heavy right which dropped Hooker on the ground, and the whacks ensued. The 2:30 mark of the round became the last tick of the clock as Chandler stood strong over the Hangman and gave the referee the reason to break-in.
