“LeBron James will be the greatest to ever do it”: Isiah Thomas snubs Michael Jordan yet again in the debate about the GOAT of basketball

Isiah Thomas continues to snub Michael Jordan in the GOAT debate, making arguments for LeBron James once again on NBA TV.

One of the legends to be absolutely amazed by his performance is, Hall-Of-Famer Isiah Thomas. The 2-time champion has previously also termed LeBron as the “the best and most ‘complete’ player” he has ever seen in his ‘lifetime’.

On Saturday night, LeBron had an impressive performance against Thomas’ former team, the Detroit Pistons. LeBron finished with 33 points and 11 assists in a double-overtime thriller. The Lakers eventually won the nail bitter 135-129. After LeBron’s impressive performance, Isiah Thomas said:

“I’m definitely impressed watching him because he’s doing it at age 36. And he’s playing back-to-back night, he’s playing overtimes, and then he’s taking and making all the big shots every single night. When I say every single night that LeBron James steps out, he’s breaking a record and passing some of the most historical figures that we have in the game.”

‘LeBron James will be the greatest ever to do it’: Isiah Thomas tips LeBron James to be the GOAT

There often have been debates about whether LeBron is the ‘GOAT’ or Jordan is. Despite have played against Michael Jordan up close in his career, Thomas chooses ‘The Chosen One’ as his ‘GOAT’.

Thomas also spoke up on LeBron surpassing the legend Wilt Chamberlain in the all-time field-goal made list. Thomas stated that, once LeBron’s legendary career will come to an end, he would be the greatest ever to play the game. The former Piston also said:

“The other night he just passed Wilt Chamberlain. He’s done things in the game that no one has ever done, touching every single statistical category every single night. Arguably the greatest player to ever play the game. For this generation, he’s been the greatest player to play. When it’s all said and done, LeBron James, in my opinion, will be the greatest to ever do it.”

The LeBron-Jordan debate has been going on for ages and will continue to go on for ages.

Coming off a championship season,  LeBron has been putting up MVP numbers in his 18th season in the league. He has been averaging 25.5 points, 7.8 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game. He’s also leading the Lakers to an impressive 18-6 record. He aspires to win back-to-back titles with the Lakers this season, and could possibly win the league MVP if he keeps up this performance.
