Is Kyrie Irving playing tonight vs Pistons? Nets release injury report for All-Star ahead of game against Jerami Grant and co
The Nets have listed star point guard Kyrie Irving as probable for their clash against Detroit on Tuesday night. Irving was out for their last game.
The Big 3 Nets succumbed to a scandalous loss against the Toronto Raptors this past weekend. Kevin Durant has been placed under Covid tracing protocols for the upcoming week. This means that the Nets will have to rely on their star guards to carry the bulk of the offensive load.
Kyrie has been sensational for the Nets, putting in All-NBA performances whenever he’s taken the court. The former Celtics guard is averaging a career-high 27.5 points on 53.3% from the field. He’s currently on pace to finish the season with 50-40-90 figures.
The Nets are 14-11 so far, but have occupied the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings for the past weekend. They will need to shore up their defense in order to meet their championship aspirations. Iman Shumpert and Noah Vonleh will expect to get a few minutes in the upcoming weeks.
Is Kyrie Irving playing tonight vs Detroit Pistons?
6 players have been named on the Nets’ injury list for Tuesday’s game. 5 of them – Kevin Durant, Iman Shumpert and Reggie Perry are the short-term absentees among them.
Irving, on the other hand, has been named as probable for the clash. This will allow the Nets to field a lineup of Kyrie, Harden, Joe Harris, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Jeff Green.

The Pistons are a lowly 5-18 to start the season. They will expect to be at the bottom of the standings by the end of the regular season. But this is natural, given that they’re actively tanking. Derrick Rose has been traded to the Knicks in exchange for Dennis Smith Jr and a second-rounder.
Smith is currently being monitored as part of Covid protocols ahead of joining possibly the final destination of his rookie contract tenure.
