“Michael Jordan doesn’t want me dead”: Convict accused in the murder of Bulls legend’s father in June 1993 believes MJ is forgiving
Daniel Green, one of the men serving time for the murder of James Jordan, believes that Michael Jordan does not want him dead.
Jordan was thrown into a deep depression when his father was murdered shortly after his 3rd championship win. MJ had been feeling a little burnt-out, but his father’s murder out of the blue sent him into free fall.
It took a long time for Michael to recover from this loss, and he resolved to make a career in baseball. This, he said, was because he knew his father wanted him to play baseball professionally.
Jordan’s stint in professional baseball was unremarkable. He may have been on his way to a middling career in the minor leagues at best. That is why his comeback to the NBA was all but a foregone conclusion. People knew that he loved basketball way too much to walk away in this fashion.
Why Daniel Green believes that Michael Jordan is not feeling murderous towards him
In an interview with VladTV last June, one of the two convicts in the James Jordan murder claimed that Michael Jordan does not want him dead. This is contrary to a book, which claims that MJ once said he’d find it difficult to be in a room with his dad’s murderers.
Daniel Green and Larry Demery are both on the way to be let out of the penitentiary system in a few years. He laid bare all of his thoughts and stories on the whole case in this interview. This is what he said about Jordan’s feelings:
“I don’t believe that and I’ll tell you why I don’t believe that. If Michael Jordan wanted me dead, I’d be dead years ago. I would’ve been dead before they picked us up.”
“If he wanted me dead, I would’ve received the death penalty. With the money he has and with the connections he has, if he wanted me dead, I would’ve been dead years ago.”
