“Luka Doncic makes trick shots better than normal shots”: Skip Bayless finds a new slant for the Mavericks superstar despite his unbelievable buzzer beater against Memphis

Skip Bayless slams Luka Doncic with uncalled-for comments about his shooting after his incredible game-winner against the Grizzlies. 

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly one of the best players in the NBA right now. The 22-year-old has recovered excellently from his slow start to the season and is averaging 28.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 8.6 assists.

And led by the Slovenian’s stellar performances up to this point, the Dallas Mavericks have climbed to the 7^th seed with the record of 30 and 24.

Another example of just this instance was Doncic’s incredible game-winner against the Memphis Grizzlies. The shot was less a jumper, and more a three-point floater to be completely honest. However, it’s good if it goes right?

Well, not for infamous analyst Skip Bayless, who has managed to turn even this incredible shot against the player.

Skip Bayless slams Luka Doncic on his alleged sub-par shooting

Skip Bayless is infamous for a reason. The analyst has made a career out of making hot takes and calling out players, even when it is unjustified. For the most part, Bayless loved to target his comments to LeBron James. However, since the King’s injury, anybody and everybody has been fair game.

In the most recent episode of ‘Undisputed’, Luka Doncic’s game-winner was brought up as the topic of discussion. And while countless NBA fans tuned in believing that the analyst would appreciate the player’s greatness, this is what he said on national television instead.

Not only are these statements made by Skip Bayless disgraceful to be honest, they are also factually incorrect. Luka Doncic has been shooting a respectable 36.4% from beyond the arc this season, with the efficiency only trending upwards with every game.

Moreover, there is a very real reason his efficiency from downtown isn’t closer to 40%. As previously mentioned, the Mavericks star had a very slow start to the season. He came into the campaign out of shape and in a shooting slump, dragging down his average efficiency dramatically.

However, as is the case on several occasions, Skip Bayless has chosen to turn away from the facts to deliver a hot take. As unfortunate as it is, this is starting to become a trend with the analyst, and it has served well for him so far. But if he chooses to continue this for much longer, he could just lose his credibility as an NBA analyst forever.
