Paul Heyman explains why Roman Reigns is the GOAT of WWE. The Tribal Chief has been on a dominant run since returning last year.

Roman Reigns has long been positioned as the biggest star in WWE. Vince McMahon saw it, many of his colleagues saw it. The fans however, they did not share the same vision. The machine tried everything in their power to make it so but something just didn’t click.Until it finally did.

Reigns returned to the WWE last year after the main event at SummerSlam but he was not the same person that left. He was no longer the Big Dog. Instead, he became the Tribal Chief. Paul Heyman joined in as his special counsel and together they’ve charted a run that has seen perform at a very high level, so much so that Heyman told Complex that he was the greatest of all time.

“Anytime I tell you Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time, the GOAT, I’m offering you not a prediction but a spoiler. I’m telling you something that you need to know. I’m informing you something not only about the character that you see on television, about the persona that is projected through that character, but about the man himself.”

“Every micro moment you see the man, the character, the persona on camera, that’s what drives Roman Reigns. That’s why I call him the GOAT. Because if he’s not the GOAT by this moment, I’m telling you, it’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler. He’s going to achieve that level because that’s the reason why he’s there. And I know him and nothing’s going to stop him. Nothing. No one.”

Heyman went on to compare the Universal Champion to Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan in their primes.
