“Just happy to a part of Kobe Bryant’s legacy”: LeBron James addresses Lakers legend’s Hall of Fame induction after returning from injury
LeBron James speaks emotionally about Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s recent induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
The greatness of Kobe Bryant can never truly be forgotten. Ever since his first days in the league, the player always had a dogged mentality and work ethic.
He wanted to be the best. And while many laughed at how quickly he wanted it, they also had to keep looking over their shoulder for the then-teenager.
An MVP, 5 championships, and 18 All-Star appearances later, the Black Mamba had nothing left to prove. His greatest of all time worthy career did the talking for him, and he could’ve just retired and tended to his family.
Instead, he worked towards building his own animation studio, which won the ‘Best Animated Short Film’ award. Sage Mamba was truly a heartwarming phase of Kobe.
Recently, Kobe Bryant was inducted into the Hall of Fame, with his idol and mentor Michael Jordan present to do what he could for his enshrinement. Before it started, a player Kobe himself mentored in LeBron James, was asked to comment on the whole process.

“It’s a celebration of greatness… an unbelievable time for himself (Kobe Bryant)… Looking down on all the compliments that he had, for his wife and his daughters…It’s a beautiful time for the Lakers. Like I said, it’s a celebration for another Laker great. And I’m just happy to be part of his legacy.”

It would be understandable for James to be a bit emotional about the topic. However, the player managed to keep his cool during the interview, giving off the impression that he is focused on how the season goes now.
After Kobe’s incredible and emotionally charged hall of fame induction, fans will be looking for the team to be motivated.
And it is likely that the players know, the best way to honor a winner like the Black Mamba, is win him yet another NBA championship.
