“Walking in that huddle it’s a little bit different this year.”: Travis Kelce pumped with improved Kansas City Chiefs roster ahead of the 2021 season.

After being favourites to repeat for pretty much the entirety of the 202o season, the Kansas City Chiefs were shocked and humiliated in the Super Bowl as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defence ran riot over the Chiefs depleted offensive line. But Travis Kelce seems excited with his team’s newest additions to the front line.

The Chiefs lost 31-9 against the Brady and the Bucs, as the Bucs defence tormented Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs were missing both All-Pro lineman Mithcell Schwartz and Eric Fischer in the game. But despite their absence, the Chiefs cut the 2 linemen and decided to revamp the entire front core.

Kansas City’s front office dedicated much of their 2021 offseason to fix the line. They made a big splash in free agency as they signed former Patriots centre Joe Thuney. Then swung a trade for upcoming star tackle Orlando Brown from the Ravens. And after which they brought in Kyle Long, Austin Blythe and then drafted two linemen with their draft picks

Travis Kelce is excited about his new offensive line

It will be some time before the line will be able to be fully unleashed, but tight end Travis Kelce already senses a change. He said on ESPN this week that “walking in that huddle it’s a little bit different this year.”

“I love all the guys that we played with over the past couple of years, but when you walk in this huddle, we’ve got big, big dudes, man,” Kelce said, via the Kansas City Star. “Big guys that are very accomplished at what they’ve done in years past, and it’s just, it’s fun. It’s fun to have that new refreshing atmosphere when you walk into the huddle because it gets you excited.”

Kansas City Chiefs came into the offseason as favourites to win the Super Bowl in the 2021 season, and that was before they reformed their front line on offence. So they will definitely be the ones to beat in the AFC this season. Once again, Mahomes and the Chiefs’ season will be highly anticipated.
