Damian Lillard record for most 3-pointers in NBA playoff series: Blazers superstar passes Donovan Mitchell with 35 3-pointers made vs Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets upto Game 6

Damian Lillard has set a new NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a single playoff series. The Blazers star passed Donovan Mitchell’s record.

Donovan Mitchell put in one of the greatest first round playoff performances in the NBA bubble last year. The Jazz star averaged an otherworldly 36.3 points per game in that series, including two separate 50-point outings. Regrettably, both of these 50-pieces came in losses.

Mitchell also swished 33 3-pointers in that series against the Nuggets, which went 7 games. Judging from the looks of the current scenario of this Nuggets-Blazers first round, this series will also go 7 games.

As great as the Spida’s outings in the NBA bubble were, we have to take a look at Dame this series and wonder if he’s legitimately having one of the greatest playoff series of all time. All of Lillard’s stats certainly stack up to those of Mitchell from last year.

Damian Lillard passes Donovan Mitchell for most 3-pointers made in a playoff series

Lillard has been unconscious from downtown this series. Everyone has seen his performance in Game 5 by now, but that was hardly the only game when Dame was white hot from 3-point range.

Lillard also had another game with a whopping 9 made 3-pointers in this series. This outing with 9 3s came in Game 2 of the series, which Portland lost despite Lillard’s 42-point outing that night.

Damian Lillard has now recorded 3⃣4⃣ 3-pointers in the first round against the Nuggets.
