“Shaquille O’Neal! Yo it’s Shaq!”: NBA Fans Mistake Charles Barkley For Lakers Legend Shaq, An Annoyed Chuck Responds To Racist Remark With “All black people don’t look alike.”

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are co-hosts of the most entertaining NBA talk-show. However, when fans mistook Chuck for Shaq, it didn’t go down smoothly.

The two have been on Inside the NBA since 2011 when Shaq retired and have enjoyed some memorable moments together, joshing around and often finding ways to embarrass each other.

However, neither Shaq nor Chuck will take lightly to racism. Following the BLM movements last year, both Shaq and Chuck were disgusted and chose to walk off the set after incidents of police brutality. That’s why when a fan tried to make a “harmless” joke, Charles Barkley did not respond kindly.

Charles Barkley Furious At Racist Remarks Of Fans Who Confused Him For Shaquille O’Neal

There seems to be some joke of NBA fans confusing players in an effort to get a few laughs. For example, earlier a fan walked up to Rajon Rondo in a store and called him Chris Paul. Rondo was obviously very unhappy with this.

While many fans might think this type of joking around is perfectly warranted, it oftentimes isn’t. There is underlying racism to these comments, and even if fans don’t say it with that intention, the effect is still generated. Thus, when a fan screamed:

“Shaquille O’Neal! Yo it’s Shaq!”

Charles Barkley had to respond with:

“All black people don’t look alike.”

These kind of comments are offensive no matter who they’re geared at, and just because Shaq and Chuck are both comedic hosts on a massive platform, it doesn’t mean people have the free will to say whatever they want. The good thing for NBA fans is that Shaq and Chuck are primed to be the entertaining co-hosts they are for a long time.
Their “chemistry” or lack of is undeniable and it provides for quality content.
