Jerry Jeudy and Drew Lock came in with a lot of hype in 2020. But the season was underwhelming, to say the least. And so was Teddy Bridgewater’s first season in Carolina. But both QB’s seem to be coming along well before the start of training camp. Jerry Jeudy compared his two QB’s and their playing styles.

Drew Lock started 5 games in his rookie season and impressed many as he went 4-1, throwing 7 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions. But his sophomore slump saw him win only 4 games and lose 9, as he threw 16 scores to 15 interceptions, despite having a loaded receiver core.

After an impressive 2019 season, Teddy Bridgewater signed a 3 year $63M deal with the Carolina Panthers. But was disappointing throughout the season, and eventually got traded to the Broncos after only his first year.

Jerry Jeudy had an interesting comparison between his two QB’s

While Lock and Bridgewater each have starting experience, they are vastly different quarterbacks. Denver wide receiver Jerry Jeudy explained the differences between the two in an appearance on “The Jim Rome Show” today.

“Drew is more of a bullet-type thrower. He relies a lot more on his arm,” Jeudy told Rome. “Teddy, I feel he more anticipates and throws it and knows how to anticipate on your routes. That’s the only difference I see between them. But I feel like they’re two great quarterbacks who are out here competing. Having them compete against each other, you can see both of them are improving in their game.”

“It kind of is because both of the guys have a different type of spiral and air to the ball,” Jeudy said. “Drew has more of a hard [spiral] and Teddy is more of a floater. You just have to adjust to the certain way they throw the ball. You have to focus on each person and catching the ball when it comes out of their hands.”

Unless the Broncos miraculously trade for Aaron Rodgers, either Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock will the Broncos’ leader on offense. So it should be very interesting to see who will come out on top.
