Giannis Antetokoumpo speaks on potentially winning a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks and comments on ring-chasing

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been having his best postseason so far in the NBA. The Bucks star has been nothing less than inspirational during these playoffs. And, his leadership is a huge reason why Milwaukee is in the finals in the first place.

Despite just returning from injury, the Greek Freak put up 20 points and 17 rebounds in a game-one loss to the Suns. The franchise has been clear though that will come out as a far better side in game two in recent interviews.

Speaking of interviews, Giannis was recently asked what it would mean for him to win with the Bucks. And in response, the player not only had a heartwarming response, but also a statement for players who ‘ring-chase’, in the words of the NBA community.

Giannis Antetokounmpo says winning the NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks would be a dream come true

 During his time in the NBA, The Greek Freak has had several opportunities to leave Milwaukee for a bigger market. Who can forget the rumors connecting him to the Warriors and the Heat last season?

However, through it all, the two-time MVP and Defensive Player of the Year has stayed put. And in a recent interview, he revealed just why that is. Take a look at the tweet below.

“You can never judge anyone for how he chooses to win a championship, but doing it with the team that you started with means more. It’s a dream, it’s a goal of mine.”

It is nothing less than admirable for the star to feel this way about the franchise. For a player to love a city this deeply, and to want to stay with it through thick and thin to win it all, has become a rarity in the NBA. And we hope the Bucks cherish that trait of Giannis as much as it deserves to be.

That said, the fact of the matter is, Giannis Antetokounmpo is down 0-1 in the series against the favorites. Does he have what it takes to will his team to victory? Or will they fall short yet again in the postseason?
