Lonzo Ball Trade Rumors : Point Guard unlikely to stay at Pelicans, may get offer from Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls
Shams Charania reveals that the New Orleans Pelicans will be “unlikely to match a significant offer sheet” for Lonzo Ball. The Clippers and Bulls have shown their interest in the young guard.
Ever since Lonzo Ball got traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans, the combo guard drastically improved his game. Ball isn’t the “superstar” he was hyped to be by the media. Or the player Magic Johnson marketed him to be before drafting him. However, Lonzo has shown sparks of being a top young guard in the league.
This past year, Ball had one of the best seasons in his short 4-year career. Even though he couldn’t really make an impact for the Pels on the standings, he finished the 2020-2021 campaign with 14.6 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds on 41/38/78 shooting splits.
Even though Ball is a willing passer, and his on-court chemistry with Zion Williamson seems pretty good, according to Shams Charania of “The Athletic”, the Pelicans front-office “is unlikely to match a significant offer sheet” for their two-way guard.

Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls have shown interest in Lonzo Ball
According to previous reports, the Pelicans would not be going above $18 million annually for Zo. However, Ball’s value this offseason could potentially very well boost up in the $20 million range.
Since the start of the 2020-2021 season, several teams have showcased their interests in Lonzo. Earlier, during the course of the season, New York, Golden State, Denver were reported to be a few of the many teams willing to acquire the 6-foot-6 swingman.

No doubt Ball is a generational talent, who is slowly starting to play like his true self. The idea of him potentially being added to a Paul George & Kawhi Leonard Clippers team or Zach LaVine & Nikola Vucevic team, is absolutely insane.
Definitely, being the great playmaker he is, Ball will have an immediate impact on whichever team he lands on. We will just have to wait and watch what decisions does the 23-year-old make this offseason.
