“Giannis isn’t even in my top 10!”: Colin Cowherd’s early playoff list shockingly left the Bucks superstar out completely, and fans can’t stop laughing about it
NBA Analyst Colin Cowherd hilariously left Giannis Antetokounmpo off his list of the top 10 players in the postseason
Giannis Antetokounmpo needs to be hailed as a legend in the city of Milwaukee from now on.
It has been 50 long whole years since the Bucks won a championship, with their last one coming in the days of the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. And now, despite all the doubt, all the injuries, and all the hate, the Greek Freak was absolutely dominant in the Finals. And now, because of his, and his teammates’ efforts, the Bucks are champions once again.
Before this whole playoff run, however, the consensus on Giannis was actually pretty low. Neutral fans in the NBA community had somewhat lost their interest in the player. And it seems Colin Cowherd was no different during this time.
Let’s get into it.
Colin Cowherd did not think Giannis Antetokounmpo was part of the top 10 players left in the playoffs after Round 1
When you work publicly as an analyst of the NBA and make certain predictions, chances are, some takes just don’t age very well.
Even with that in mind, Colin Cowherd’s take from back then still looks pretty egregious. Take a look at the tweet below.

We will admit that it’s difficult to put Giannis Antetokounmpo before anyone in that top 4. But, for the players that sit from 5 to 10, you could make the case that the Greek Freak would stand ahead of at least some of them.
At the end of the day though, hindsight is always 20/20. We just hope that, after being the best player on a championship team, the player finally gets the respect he deserves.
