“I don’t give a damn Tom Brady, I’m not coming in earlier than 5:30”: Rodney Harrison Reveals How Brady Would Tease Him With A ‘Good Afternoon’, Showing His Crazy Work Ethic

Tom Brady has cemented his legacy as the Greatest Player of all time and his 7 Super Bowl rings are a testament to the same. But even the Goat has some interesting and fun stories, incidents, and anecdotes that have taken place over his illustrious 21 years in the league.

Tom Brady is a little bit crazy. There’s no way around it. He is so dedicated to football and quarterbacking that it borders upon madness.  There’s nothing else to say about it and his continued NFL career at the age of 44-years-old is a testament to it.

Tom Brady is known for not only outworking players on the field but also outworking them in the film room, the training centres and even his diet. He doesn’t eat dairy, tomatoes, pepper, mushrooms or most fruits—“I have no desire to do that”.

And all of this has led to his unbeatable legacy. 7 Super Bowl rings, All-Time leader in Passing Yards with 79,204 yards, All-Time leader with 581 touchdowns, 3 MVP’s and many more.

Rodney Harrison retold another Tom Brady epic work ethic story.

Rodney Harrison came into the Patriots system in 2003.  And he was instantly introduced to Brady and his unparalleled work ethic.

“This was when I first got to New England, we had become friends and we were in the weight room. I show up around 6:30 in the morning and he says to me, ‘Good afternoon!’ So the next day, I get the hint, and come in 15 minutes earlier. Same thing: He says, ‘Good afternoon!’ Then the next day it’s 5:45 in the morning, and he makes sure to say it twice: ‘Good afternoon! Good afternoon!’ So I make it at 5:30 the next day and before he could say anything to me, I looked at him and said, ‘Man, I don’t give a damn what you say, Tom, I’m not coming in earlier than 5:30!’ We both laughed at that.”

The Buccaneers quarterback’s legacy in the NFL is very well established at this point, but the fact that Brady is gearing up for another NFL season at this age is simply remarkable. His longevity, though, is what has helped his case for the best QB title the most, as he just won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 43 years old. Brady’s 21 NFL seasons — soon-to-be 22 prove how hard Brady has worked to achieve all that he has.
