UFC 226 was at the forefront of the heavyweight bout between then-champion Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier. The co main event saw Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis go hand in hand.
Many believed that the war would not last in the first round and that the winner would face the Miocic / Cormier war winner. Sadly, it was called ‘the worst war in heavyweight history.’
However, the same cannot be said of the main event. Looking to become a two-time champion, MMA loyalists believe Stipe was capable of defending his heavyweight title.
From the exit, Miocic had Cormier selling back. However, DC was looking to start his active clinical career by taking the fight to the telephone. At the time of the death of the first round, Cormier received a negative clinical trial to release Miocic and become a two-stage champion. What happened next was truly amazing.

Post Fight At UFC 226
As far as UFC 226, there have been rumors about the possible return of former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
It just so happened, there was a Born King. In a post-war discussion, Cormier went on to call Brock Lesnar . During the interview, Lesnar got into the cage and chose to push Daniel in the traditional WWE way.
After pushing, Cormier said: “Push me now, Brock will go to bed later!”
Soon, security was in place to keep the two separate. Following the outcry, many believed that war would break out. Unfortunately, that could not be the case.
Lesnar’s problems outside the cage meant that it was almost impossible for the former champion to return in an amazing way. Instead, Cormier continued to defend his heavyweight title four months later against Lewis.
