“I Like Elon Musk but…”: Ex-UFC Star Questions Tesla CEO’s ‘Free Speech’ Vision After Kanye West Twitter Suspension
A few months back, the South African billionaire Elon Musk bought the famous social media platform, Twitter, for a whopping $44 billion. He claimed to encourage more free speech on the platform.
Musk brought back some of the most controversial personalities, including Andrew Tate and Kanye West, back on Twitter. However, recently he suspended West’s Twitter account following his anti-Semitic remarks. Subsequently, former UFC welterweight fighter Jake Shields questioned Musk’s vision regarding free speech on the platform.
What did Jake Shields say about Elon Musk and Kanye West?
Earlier, West now Ye faced a lot of backlash for his controversial statements. As a result, he was banned from several platforms and many big brands cut ties with the rapper. However, Musk brought him back on Twitter after the acquisition of the platform.
But in a recent interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Ye praised the German dictator Adolf Hitler. Later, he posted a tweet in which the American rapper combined the Swastika symbol with a Star of David.

Following that, Musk stated that he was suspending Ye’s account for his tweet despite several warnings. After this, Sheilds posted a tweet directed at the Tesla CEO. He wrote, “I like Elon Musk but banning Kanye for a tweet that made him angry isn’t Free speech We need a clear set of rules and then be applied to all people equally.”
