Is Zion Williamson Playing Tonight vs Mavericks? Pelicans Release Injury Update for 6ft 6’ Star Forward
The Pelicans were doing pretty well for themselves despite Brandon Ingram sitting out with a toe injury. During the former Most Improved Player’s absence, the likes of Zion Williamson, CJ McCollum, and Jonas Valanciunas put on the team’s offensive load on their backs and led Willie Green’s boys to one of the top-most teams in the stacked Western Conference.
NOLA was only a few games away from catching the Nuggets as the #1 team in the West, thanks to the 5-game win streak to end December. However, the Louisiana-based franchise suffered a huge blow when Williamson sat out for the entire final period of the clash against the Sixers on 2nd Jan.
Playing 28 minutes, Zanos went on to record 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds before being ruled out after hurting his hamstring.

What does this mean for the 6-foot-6 forward’s availability against the Dallas Mavericks?
Unfortunately, the 284-pound star is going to be missing the contest. Further, since there is no timetable mentioned yet, an expected date of return cannot be mentioned yet. However, a few reporters believe that Williamson will be out for at least 3 more weeks.
“I think the expectation is Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain) will be out at least a month plus. This is not a mild strain.”
