Kevin Durant has been one of the most unstoppable players in the game of basketball since he came in 2007 as the second overall pick for the then-Seattle Supersonics and present-day Oklahoma City Thunder. The 6ft 10’ forward has been putting up 20+ points since his first year in the league. In fact, he hasn’t averaged below 25 points per game after his first full season. With 4x scoring titles to his name, the man has a career average of over 27 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and a block and a steal per game. That puts him 4th behind Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Elgin Baylor in the all-time top point averages in the NBA.

Giannis Antetokounmpo currently averages more than him (29 PPG), but has featured in only 6 iterations of one of the most anticipated and fun game of the season.

Durant, the leading vote-getter from the East for the second year in a row, will surely be targeting his 3rd All-Star game MVP when he takes the floor in Salt Lake City, Utah, next month (Feb. 19th).
Being already in outstanding form, leading his Nets to 13 wins in the last 14 outings, the 34-year-old is averaging over 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game and is currently #3 on the MVP ladder. He will surely make his All-Star stats better.
Durant would definitely want to clean weep the MVP awards this season with the Nets now having a strong chance to go through the East.
