“Lebron James Would Still Be #14 All Time”: Hornets Broadcaster Reveals 6ft 9” Lakers Superstar’s Ranking on Scoring Ladder Without ‘Dunks and 3-Pts’
LeBron James is without a doubt a genius. He is one of the smartest players in the league and is known for using his intelligence to manipulate rival game plans. In fact, teammates and opponents are so impressed by his skills that most believe he has an eidetic memory.
Whether James has an eidetic memory, in reality, is irrelevant. What really matters is his impact on the offensive end. LeBron James is one of the most versatile attackers in the history of the game. He is on his way to becoming the all time scoring leader.

In anticipation of the inevitable exchange with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA community is especially invested in LBJ right now. The community is full of fascinating LeBron and scoring facts. In fact, a Hornets broadcaster recently revealed a very interesting stat about King James.
LeBron James all time score without dunks or 3pts would still place him above Kevin Durant
LeBron James is nearing the record set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with each passing game. He is currently just 422 points behind the legendary center. In just a few more games, he will surpass the long-standing record.
In fact, if LeBron can manage to maintain his current average, he will break KAJ’s record in just 15 more games. This milestone will be monumental for LBJ.

During the Lakers vs Hornets game, the Hornets broadcaster made an interesting observation. He claimed that if we deducted all the points scored by dunks and 3-pts from LeBron’s totals, he would still be the 14th-highest scorer in NBA history.
Analysing Hornets’ broadcaster’s claim
LeBron James has made 2201 threes in his career. So removing that brings his total down to 31362. In addition, James has made a total of 2082 dunks in his career. Removing that further brings his point tally down to 27,198 points.
This tally places him just below Elvin Hayes on the all time list. Players like Kevin Durant, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Tim Duncan all sit below LeBron even if you discount his dunks and 3-pts made.
