Brittany Mahomes is being honest about the less-than-ideal aspects of parenting, and we can’t stop laughing. She recently uploaded a new video of Sterling Skye, the daughter she shares with Patrick Mahomes, and it shows the messy side of parenting toddlers.

In a brand-new clip yesterday, the 22-month-old is playing on the floor on Brittany’s Instagram story. She wears a vibrant smiley-face shirt and looks as adorable as ever with her unkempt blonde curls pulled up in a ponytail. The young girl was not only playing, though; she was also using the restroom in her diaper.

Did you poop, Sterling? In the video, Brittany asks Sterling. She answers with a level of enthusiasm that would make the NFL proud. She yells, “I did!” and carries on playing. Can we do a diaper change for you? says, Brittany. “YAY!” Although she keeps playing and ignoring her mother, Sterling exclaims. Ah, little kids.

Sterling now says, “Poop,” and touches Brittany’s diaper as she presses Sterling for more information about her diaper. She is therefore aware of the poop, but she has absolutely no plans to address it. She says again, dismissing her mother in the most adorable way possible. “I sit, I sit!”

Why are young children so incredibly adorable? And why, oh why, don’t kids care that they’re sitting in their own squalor? One day, I hope to have Sterling’s carefree and laid-back attitude!

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are having fun with parenting

Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, may be the youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl MVP award, but the NFL star also holds the title of proud father.

On February 20, 2021, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Patrick welcomed their daughter Sterling Skye. The couple first shared on social media in May 2022 that they were expanding their family. On Monday, Nov. 28, they welcomed their second child. The couple decided to continue naming both their children and pets after metals.

Fatherhood has helped Patrick grow even more, and while the responsibility of being a young superstar in the NFL changed him for the better. During a Football in America episode in October 2022, Patrick talked openly about being a father and encouraging his children to participate in sports.

The co-owner of the Kansas City Current frequently posts adorable images of Sterling and her infant brother, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, and we adore seeing that life at home isn’t always picture-perfect. It’s all too relatable to see Brittany as any other mom struggling to deal with the unpleasant aspects of parenthood.
