Details On Backstage Morale Being “Significantly” Better Without Vince McMahon’s Presence On SmackDown
Ever since Vince McMahon got himself involved in the creative aspect of WWE the product has been shifting gears too often. As expected, Vince McMahon got deeply into the weeds on Raw after WrestleMania 39. The chaotic night was met with heavy criticism from the fans. In addition, the new owners of WWE were also reportedly not happy with Vince’s creative process. However, Friday Night SmackDown was reportedly way better without Vince McMahon’s presence.
SmackDown on 7th April was wholly carried out by the Head of Creative, Triple H. It was also reported that the new owners of WWE wanted to see how business is done with Triple H at the helm. A new report sheds light on backstage morale with Triple H in charge of the show vs Vince McMahon running the show.
The backstage morale on SmackDown was reportedly way better without Vince McMahon’s presence
According to Fightful Select, Vince McMahon’s absence on SmackDown improved the mood backstage. With Triple H in the driver’s seat, WWE talents seemingly work better. But it should be noted that Vince still made certain alterations to the show over a call earlier that night. However, unlike Raw, McMahon did not inflict major changes to SmackDown.

The morale was significantly improved Friday without Vince McMahon, but a lot of it is a “we’ll see what happens” approach.
Even though the morale “significantly improved” with Vince’s absence, it was met with a “we’ll see what happens approach”. It’s a no-brainer that Vince will continue to be involved in the creative process going forward. We will have to wait and see if Raw next week experiences any last-minute alterations during the show.
Vince McMahon seemingly changed Seth Rollins’ segment on Raw
The last episode of Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania saw Seth Rollins celebrating his win over Logan Paul during a backstage interview. Rollins then makes his way out to the ring to continue his celebrations. But his segment was seemingly canceled on the fly.

In a video from Ringside News, The Visionary seemed visibly upset while having a word with the production crew and walked out of the ring without so much as saying a word on the mic. This has led to the speculation that Vince McMahon had a change in plans at the last minute.
