WWE Rumor: Are the WWE and AEW in Bed Together?

WWE Rumor: Are the WWE and AEW in Bed Together? A Former WWE Head Writer suggest that the two companies are working the fans together.

AEW debuted last Saturday on May 25th with Double or Nothing. The success of the show has led to many fans believing that they will become WWE’s competition in the future. With AEW taking multiple shots at WWE on their debut Pay Per View, it looks like the company is ready to face competition head on.

The WWE have even gone on and acknowledged the company by name dropping it on Raw. While there are still conflicting reports on if the name drop was scripted, one man believes that the two companies are in cohorts and working the fans.

Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo took to Twitter to allege that WWE and AEW are “in bed together!”

Vince Russo was the head creator of WWF during the Monday Night Wars and helped WWF overtake WCW in the rating wars. Russo relied on storylines that involved sexual content, profanity, swerves or unexpected heel turns, and worked shoots. His style of writing came to be known as “Crash TV”.

Russo is credited for many successful story lines and characters that include;  Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Mr. McMahon feud, The Undertaker vs. Kane feud, D-Generation X, the rise of The Rock, and the Mick Foley saga.

It is important to note that Russo was also at the helm of WCW during its final days. He booked himself to become a one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, scored televised singles victories over future WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Booker T and never lost a match. He also placed himself in multiple pay-per-view main events in TNA.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
