“The Kings Are Going to the Conference Finals”: Charles Barkley Predicts De’Aaron Fox & Co to Go Through the Warriors and the Lakers
California is all hyped up for two of its NBA teams to take on each other as the Lakers wait for one of them in the Conference Semi-finals and so is Charles Barkley. And the TNT analyst has picked the Sacramento Kings to win not just Game 7 against the Warriors, but also the next round.
The Round Mound of Rebounds is pretty famous for gett his predictions and most times, particularly in the Playoffs, gets them right too.
But the man has now sided with the team that has never been so deep into the Playoffs and only one player in their rotation, i.e., Harrison Barnes, has been in a Game 7 situation before.
Charles Barkley predicts De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings to beat the Warriors and the Lakers
After Game 1 between the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets, Inside the NBA crew discussed the big game coming up Sunday.
While Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith said the Warriors will have the advantage as it’s a myth that the team with nothing to lose has no pressure.
Chuck not only said the early game would be an advantage for the young Kings, he asked for Ernie Johnson to bring up his notebook and announced, “The Sacramento Kings are going to the Conference Finals.”
Are the Kings good enough to beat both, the Warriors and the Lakers?
Win a 7-game series against Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, and then face Lebron James and Anthony Davis? That should win you a championship already.
However, the Kings will only get themselves a match-up with either the Nuggets or the Suns. And even after they beat them, they don’t win a chip. Truly unfair.
But do they have enough firepower to do it? They certainly do. Domantas Sabonis and Barnes have still to hit their strides in the ongoing series, and they have already won 3 games against the defending champions. So, the Kings definitely have a chance.
But even if they get through the Dubs, seeing what AD and James did to DPOY, Jaren Jackson Jr. and his team, they might have a feast against Sabonis and the Kings’ frontcourt.
