Lewis Hamilton Flexes His Latest Ride, but Flops in Comparison to Max Verstappen’s $10,350,000 Statement

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have quite the history on the F1 track as they had an extremely tense rivalry for the title in the 2021 season. And even though two seasons have passed since then, it seems that their rivalry still continues. And it is not limited only to the grid but has also extended to more areas now. A few days after Verstappen made a statement with his $10,350,000 helicopter ride, Hamilton has seemingly followed suit. But, it just seems that the Briton’s ride was not the same as the Dutchman’s ride.

Both Hamilton and Verstappen are able to flex their expensive assets because of the staggering amount of wealth they have accumulated as a result of their success on the F1 track. Hamilton has a net worth of $285,000,000 and earns $57,000,000 per year from his contract with Mercedes.

On the other hand, Verstappen’s net worth is $200,000,000, and he earns $54,000,000 annually, consequently of his Red Bull contract. It seems they are using their wealth to good use by spending on their luxurious travel trips.

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen take luxurious helicopter rides

As seen in the video below, Max Verstappen arrived at the Silverstone circuit in style with his ‘GOAT-L‘ helicopter. The Dutchman was traveling by a Leonardo Westland AW139, a helicopter manufactured in 2004. This helicopter requires a two-person crew and can accommodate 15 people at a time.

As per aircraftcostcalculator.com, the cost of a pre-owned Leonardo Westland AW139 is a staggering $10,350,000. The report adds that for an individual to utilize this helicopter, it would cost $3,964.52 per hour. Since this helicopter is so expensive, it is the perfect message that Verstappen could deliver to his rivals.

And just a few days after Verstappen had his helicopter ride, it did not take Lewis Hamilton to do the same. The Mercedes driver traveled in his private helicopter to the airport in London, as per a video put out by The Hollywood Fix. Even though the 38-year-old’s helicopter seems quite expensive, it does not seem to match Verstappen’s ‘GOAT-L‘.

Hamilton and Verstappen also owned expensive private jets

According to The Sun, Lewis Hamilton once owned a Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet that he bought back in 2013. The report states that he sold this prized possession for $29 million in February 2019 to a United Kingdom private jet company.

When it comes to Max Verstappen, he owns a Dassault Falcon-900EX private jet. According to bosshunting.com.au, he acquired this asset from Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Galactic for approximately $12.45 million to $15.57 million. This value is just an estimate according to several reports, as the exact transaction price was never revealed.

Since both Hamilton and Verstappen own and continue to acquire several expensive assets, it just highlights the success they have had in their sports to spend so much money. While Hamilton has the all-time record of 103 wins and a joint record of seven world championships, Verstappen seems to be moving forward to this mark at an extremely fast rate. The Dutchman already has 43 wins to his name and is cruising toward his third championship this year.
