MS Dhoni stumps Shahidi: MS Dhoni affected yet another stumping as Afghanistan lost their third wicket against India.
During the fifth match of the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup between India and Afghanistan at Dubai, stand-in captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s swift hands and rapid hand-eye coordination saw him affecting yet another dismissal behind the wickets for his team.
Dhoni had introduced Kuldeep Yadav into the attack in the 11th over. Having bowled a lone economical over, Yadav was given the ball again in the 16th over. Dhoni affecting the stumping dismissal happened on the second delivery of the 16th over when Hashmatullah Shahidi’s attempt to play a flick across the line saw him missing the ball altogether.
With the batsman’s back leg majorly in air, he had no chance whatsoever against Dhoni. By the time the batsman could have made his way back into the crease, Dhoni had already caused the damage. Shahidi ended up scoring 0 (3). In which was Yadav’s first wicket, he used the advantage to dismiss Afghanistan’s captain Asghar Afghan on the next ball itself.
Earlier, Afghanistan had won the toss and chose to bat. At the toss, India had made astounding changes to their playing eleven, making as many as five changes. All the players who had not played in this tournament so far were given the chance of proving their mettle. With Dhoni leading the side, he became only the third captain to play 200 matches as an ODI captain.

Do not get out of the crease if Ms Dhoni is behind the stumps. Though, a nice start from M. Shahzad but he should bear in mind that a genius is behind the stumps so better hit standing in the crease. #INDvAFG
