Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have been married to each other for more than a decade and are one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples. Both had to face a lot of criticism before marrying each other. In his book, ‘A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball’, Wade mentioned how they met in Miami in 2007. They kept running into each other at many mutual events, where they learned that both had a log of mutual friends. However, they were just friends until 2009, before getting romantically involved in the same year.

Gab and Wade dated for almost five years before their marriage in 2014. However, when Wade made their relationship public, he was still married to his ex-wife. Together, they raise Wade’s four kids.

Early in my career and hers, our paths had crossed a few times, including in Miami in 2007 at a Superbowl party that we were asked to cohost. During 2008, we started running into each other again, surprised that we had so many friends in common.”

D-Wade also mentioned how he used to reach out to Gab during his difficult phase,

“Eventually, we struck up a friendship on the phone and I reached out to her for encouragement with the challenges that were happening in my life.”

D-Wade and Gab are going strong and have been together for over a decade.
