3 Decades After Deion Sanders vs Jerry Rice Matchup, Their Sons Shilo Sanders & Brenden Rice Are Set for Football Faceoff

Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice, the two stalwarts of the NFL who gifted fans several memorable moments during their playing careers, are now poised to make history once again. While the two have ventured into other professions, their sons, Shilo Sanders and Brenden Rice, are set to carry on their fathers’ esteemed legacy on the football field.

The Colorado Buffaloes will soon lock horns against the USC Trojans, where Shilo will potentially take on Brenden in what promises to be an absolutely epic clash. This might as well evolve into a celebrated rivalry, reminiscent of the one between their fathers, who last faced each other in 1995, almost three decades ago.

This bout will present a significant opportunity for Colorado to break their opponent’s winning streak, while also rebounding from last week’s loss. USC and Colorado, now under the leadership of Lincoln Riley and Sanders, respectively, will meet on September 30 in Boulder, the Buffaloes’ home turf.

In their second showdown in 1993, Rice gained 105 yards on six catches, but Sanders picked off two passes, with both engaging in an on-field banter. Their third meeting in 1995 saw Rice amass 161 yards and a touchdown on five receptions, but Sanders failed to record an interception.
