Jets Sold Everything for Aaron Rodgers & Are Getting Worse, Despite Robert Saleh’s Firing: Cam Newton

Last month, the New York Jets fired Robert Saleh in hopes of improving the 2-3 record. Did things advance? Not really. They plummeted to seven losses and added just one more win. Cam Newton is starting to think Saleh wasn’t the problem in New York after all.

“It’s the collective things. Sooner or later, the truth will come out. They sold everything, and I mean everything for Aaron Rodgers and STILL ya’ll shady.”

Newton isn’t wrong to think that Saleh wasn’t the only problem in New York. The Jets tried to equip Aaron Rodgers with big guns. They brought in Devante Adams from the Raiders, traded Zach Wilson this offseason, brought in Garrett Wilson, and even fired Saleh.

And yet, their season is going worse than it was when Wilson was the starter. The offense has been mediocre, and the defense has been falling apart.

Meanwhile, A-Rod’s stats aren’t those of an elite quarterback. He’s had his moments of greatness but has amassed 15 TDs for 2,258 yards and 7 interceptions in 11 Weeks.

As Newton pointed out, their situation has been so “sh**ty” that the Jets are going to move on from Rodgers after this season.

While this admission shocked his co-host, who voiced, “Won’t they give him another season? He was hurt last year.” Newton strongly replied, “No, ” and he isn’t the only one who believes so.

Jets won’t reunite with Aaron Rodgers in 2025?

The NFL world is aware that Rodgers wishes to continue playing next year. However, an NFL Insider revealed that it might not happen with the Gang Green.

The Atlantic’s Dianna Russini revealed, “There is no guarantee” that Rodgers will play for the Jets next season. Rodgers does not have any guaranteed salary for the 2025 season and would have a cap hit of $23.5 million if he remains with the Jets.

According to Over The Cap, if the Jets decide to release him after June 1, they would only incur $14 million in dead money.

Nearly 41, Rodgers still wishes to play another season after this one. The Jets’ chances of playoff contention are all but gone, and with them, it is starting to look like Rodgers’s chances of making a return to the gridiron might also be disappearing.
