CM Punk AEW Fight Forever game

AEW’s first-ever console game “Fight Forever” is ready to be released in 2023. The game will feature all the talent from the company. Developed by renowned wrestling game developers, Yuke’s, Fight Forever is set to compete with WWE’s 2K series. With 10+ Game Play modes, AEW Fight Forever also features match types such as Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights Out, and Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.

The Fight Forever cover features major AEW talents such as MJF, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Sting, and more. However, this was not the initial cover of the game as the previous cover also featured CM Punk. The new cover was presented ahead of AEW’s Full Gear PPV.

CM Punk was arguably AEW’s biggest draw and it makes sense why he was at the center of the game cover previously. Following his actions backstage at the All Out post-show media scrum, Punk’s position in AEW hangs in balance.

Is CM Punk removed from the AEW Fight Forever game?

Although AEW has removed Punk from its front cover, surprisingly, CM Punk’s gaming character will remain in the video game. According to a report from Sportskeeda, AEW sources confirmed that CM Punk will not be removed from Fight Forever. The report states that AEW would announce if they wanted anybody that has already been advertised and included in the game to be removed.

Whether or not CM Punk returns to AEW, he will keep his place in AEW’s first-ever video game. However, AEW has omitted Punk from the Game’s trailer.

As per previous reports, AEW is considering buying out CM Punk’s contract. Fans have been speculating that CM Punk may return to WWE and be involved in a major match at WrestleMania 39.

Is AEW still paying CM Punk?

CM Punk’s title victory at All Out was easily overshadowed by his actions backstage following the post-show media scrum. Since then, a lot of sources have confirmed that Punk will never return to AEW.

However, a recent report from Wrestling Observer Radio states that Punk’s official release from the company is being delayed by AEW and that he is ready to carry on with his other projects. The report also stated that Punk is still being paid by the company.

“Punk as of the weekend was still under contract to AEW and being paid and those close to him say the hold up on his being released is all on the AEW side as he’s ready and willing to move to his next project.”

We don’t know what Punk’s next move is, however, we do know that Punk is involved in the commentary for Cage Fury Fighting Championship. Also, for Punk to make an appearance in WWE, he must cut ties with AEW officially. Stay tuned to find out what the future holds for the former AEW Champion.
