Call of Duty: Warzone goes Underground: New Weapons and Characters revealed
Activision and Infinity Ward released a new trailer for season 6 of Modern Warfare and Warzone.
The trailer gives fans and gamers a first glimpse at what new additions are coming to the popular battle royale and multiplayer. The Call of Duty community was very busy lately with news about Black Ops Cold War. It releases in November and till then fans have another season of Warzone to play.
Two new operators are here – Farah AND Nikolai –
Farah and Nikolai were both part of the Modern Warfare Campaigns. Farah is the founder of the Urzikstani Liberation Force. On the other hand, Nikolai is Captain Price’s old friend. They both are added to the Warzone Universe as operators. They will focus their efforts on stopping Mr.Z who wants to destroy Verdansk.
New weapon assault rifle AS VAL –
Each Warzone season begins with two new weapons. Observant fans would have noticed Nikolai holding an AS VAL rifle at the very end of the trailer. Its still unclear as to what the second weapon might be. The new weapons are part of the free content of the battle pass, so players will have to grind to unlock the new weapons.
Warzone going Underground? –
The trailer takes place completely underground. After a cargo train was added at the end of season 5, the developers are bringing a subway system to Verdansk. Players can probably use the system to quickly get around the map. The details aren’t announced yet but a screen grab from the video, a map was shown. It showed that there will be seven stops in total on Verdansk –
- M1 — Verdansk International Airport
- M2 — Verdansk Stadium
- M3 — Gorengard Lumber Yard
- M4 — Downtown Tavorsk District
- M5 — Barakett Promenade East
- M6 — Verdansk Train Station
- M7 — Torsk Bloc
The new season will be going live on Tuesday, September 29. No time has been revealed yet but like past releases it could be 11 PM PT or 2 AM ET. Fans can read the blog post here and check out the trailer on YouTube.
