CM Punk: Former WWE Star set to return to Wrestling

CM Punk: Former WWE Star set to return to Wrestling. WWE Hall of Famer guarantees that CM Punk will make his return very soon.

Ever since CM punk left the WWE there have been constant rumors of his return. The former WWE champion has vehemently denied them and has repeatedly said that he’s done with the business. However, the rumors were reignited last month when a masked man appeared at a wrestling event in Wisconsin and delivered the GTS on Daryck St. Holmes.

It was later confirmed that the Masked Wrestler was indeed Punk. Turns out, the Voice of the Voiceless has been hitting the Indy scene in secrecy as a favor to his friends.

Earlier this year, Tony Khan’s AEW were reportedly interested in signing the Former WWE Champion. An ex WWE writer also revealed that Punk’s former employee, the WWE were also interested in signing the Straight edge Superstar and would love to have him back.

However,

If Sean Waltman aka X-Pac is to believed then Punk will make his wrestling return with AEW. In latest edition of his X-Pac 12360 podcast, Waltman says:

“Conrad, mark my words, CM Punk is gonna show up. Before it’s all said and done and I guaran-fing-tee it. Somewhere, maybe not right away, but when they get the TV going… come on! He ain’t gonna sit on the fing sidelines”.

CM Punk is a 6-time World Champion and Two-time Money in the Bank winner in the WWE. He became extremely popular in the promotion for his in-ring abilities and charisma. However, he left the company after the 2014 Royal Rumble and, barring the occasional secret Indy appearances, has kept himself from the profession altogether.

Regardless of which promotion Punk turns up for, it will be exciting to see punk in active competition.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
