To everyone’s delight, Chennai Super Kings signed Ben Stokes for the club’s record price of INR 16.25 crores. The addition of Stokes is a welcome addition to the side and the reunion of Stokes and MS Dhoni will delight the fans. Both of them played together in the Rising Pune Supergiants when CSK was banned.
Ainkya Rahane is also added to the side, and he also played with Dhoni and Stokes in Pune. The bowling of the side was quite poor in the last season, and the pacers of the side will have to be at their best in order to have a good season for the side.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will definitely open the innings, and he has been in brilliant form in the domestic circuit as well. Moeen Ali has been one of the most important players of the side and his fitness will be looked at with keen interest. Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube will give an important balance to the side.
Deepak Chahar missed the last season due to an injury and his fitness is very important for the Super Kings. Maheesh Theekshana has emerged as the leading spinner of the side, and he will again be the leading the attack.
