With only a handful of days remaining for the commencement of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, the buzz for the tournament has reached an all-time high. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that there is something inexplicable with respect to the euphoria before an IPL season which manages to bring the best out of fans’ interest for the biggest T20 tournament across the globe.

In addition to IPL 2023 being the first season of the tournament to be played in a home-away format since 2019, it will also be the first season post the announcement of the revised media rights for 2023-2027 cycle.

However, the same service will now be provided to fans by Jio Cinema (official streaming partner of 2022 FIFA World Cup, SA20 2023 and Women’s Premier League 2023).

Will IPL 2023 Stream on Hotstar?

No. There is only one official streaming platform for IPL 2023 in India. As a result, Disney+Hotstar won’t be live streaming the next five IPL seasons.

A major difference between Jio Cinema and Disney+Hotstar is that the former won’t be charging any money from its users throughout the course of IPL 2023. Therefore, making a marquee tournament absolutely free for all its users.

Since the platform is not charging its users, activating Jio Cinema on any smart television is a simple process. All a user needs is to download the app first assuming it isn’t present by default.

Is there a Jio Cinema App for PC?

Officially, no. While some portals will suggest you to download an APK file to activate JioCinema app for PC, you don’t have to go through the cumbersome process.
