Reconnaissance by Fire DMZ Warzone 2 DMZ Mission Guide: Everything You Need to Know
This mission is one of the easier ones when you compare it to the other Shadow Company faction missions in the game. That being said, it will require a decent amount of time to complete. It is not difficult but tedious to do. However, the rewards are worth it.
In the next section, we will look at the tier of the mission along with the objectives and rewards you can get for completing this mission. After that, we will hop onto the walkthrough of the mission. Let us get started.
Tier, Objectives, and Rewards
The Reconnaissance by Fire mission is a Tier 2 Shadow Company mission. It is the third mission out of the seven missions in the 2nd Tier of the Faction. Given below are the objectives and rewards for the same.

Reconnaissance by Fire
- Rewards: STB 556 Weapon Contraband, +7500 XP
- Objectives
- Kill 7 enemies while using the MCPR-300 with iron sights
- Kill 7 enemies in the same deployment with the MCPR-300 using the Hybrid Sight
- Kill 7 enemies in the same deployment with the MCPR-300 using the Thermal Sight
Weapon contraband is a rare reward for DMZ mission completion. In addition, the amount of XP is definitely going to help your progression. Let us see how you can complete this mission.
How to Complete the Mission
To unlock the Iron Sights for the MCPR-300 you will need to Level it up to 26. You can also find someone who has the iron sights unlocked on it and ask them to drop you the weapon during deployment. Now, once you have the iron sights equipped, let us see how you can complete this mission.
- Drop onto any map and use the MCPR-300 with the iron sights to kill 7 enemies. AI enemies count as kills as well so go on killing them and it should complete the first objective of the mission.
- Ensure that you collect lots of money because you are going to need it later on in this playthrough.
- Now, make your way over to any Workbench. You can usually find them situated next to Buy Stations. Now, equip a Hybrid Sight for the MCPR-300. It costs $2400.
- Now get 7 AI or enemy kills with the Hybrid Sight equipped and that should be the end of the second objective.
- Make your way to the same or some other Workbench and equip the Thermal Sight. It costs the same as the Hybrid Sight.
- Now kill 7 enemies with the Thermal Sight and you should have completed the mission. A notification signaling the completion should appear on the screen.
