Man Utd Transfer: PSG wantaway Neymar reportedly offers himself to Manchester United amidst the transfer saga involving him, PSG and Barcelona.
It is an open secret that Neymar wants to leave Paris Saint-Germaine. The Brazilian knows that he is not the clubs most prized possession anymore and the mantle now belongs to Kylian Mbappe.
Neymar has sought a way back to Barcelona and has made all the right noises to that end. He has cited Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over the Parisians as his most memorable moment as a player. He has even called Barcelona his home in an interview and accepted that he regrets leaving them. However, things aren’t as simple.
Barcelona are reportedly interested in bringing Neymar back to the Camp Nou. They do not however, have the funds to support a transfer of that scale. PSG are looking for 300 million Euros and Barcelona are in a debt of nearly 888 million Euros.
Barcelona are said to have offered Coutinho and Dembele plus 40 million in a mega swap deal for Neymar. PSG are not interested though. They are stubborn about not selling a single Euro below their valuation of the Brazilian.
There is also the problem with the FFP. With Barcelona having spent over 200 million this season, they will need to offload players and balance their books or they could end up in trouble with the UEFA.
If all that wasn’t enough, Neymar and Barcelona have been embroiled in a lawsuit over the unpaid loyalty bonus he was due during his time as a Barcelona Player. Barcelona claim that the loyalty bonus was for the entirety of his contract had he honoured it.
Neymar attempts escape
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Neymar is aware of how difficult would it be to go to Barcelona this season and the Star forward is now looking at other options as he seeks a way out of France.
MD have reported that Neymar has considered a few clubs as his possible destinations. However, United’s lack of Champions league football could hamper their chances. After all a move to Europa would definitely be a downgrade for the Brazilian. Having said that, United still remain one of the only few clubs that can pay Neymar his wages. The other clubs in the list are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
