Manoj Tiwary slams Dinesh Karthik: Axed batsman accused Knight Riders captain to be selfish during the match vs CSK.

India batsman Manoj Tiwary launched a scathing attack against Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik on social media platform Twitter. The censure predominantly revolved around Knight Riders’ batting order for today’s match against Chennai Super Kings.
In the absence of regular opening pair of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine in their last match, Kolkata had sent Joe Denly and Shubman Gill to open the batting against Delhi Capitals. Taking the opportunity with both hands, Gill top-scored for KKR scoring 65 (39) with the help of seven fours and two sixes.
Usually a top-order batsman, Gill is made to bat at No. 6 or No. 7 at KKR. While he still does well, there is a common notion that the team isn’t doing justice to the 19-year old cricketer’s potential.
Against Super Kings today, Gill came in to bat at No. 7 in the 15th over. Before getting out on the penultimate delivery of the innings, he scored an unconvincing 15 (20).
With the Indian selectors set to name the World Cup squad tomorrow, Tiwary also accused Karthik of himself wanting to bat up the order in a bid to press his case. Karthik will be fighting a tough battle with fellow wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant for a spot in the squad.
It is worth mentioning that KKR have persisted with the same combination since the last season of the Indian Premier League. In a series of tweets, Tiwary was seen launching a scathing attack on Karthik and his ploy.
