MrBeast wants to buy shares from channels of content creators, he said on Twitter. The question on fan’s lips – is this the next big idea for MrBeast?

Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is one of the biggest YouTubers in the world. With over 46 millions subs on his channel, MrBeast ‘s unique model for success has amazed people worldwide. The man literally spends money, or rather donates it, to make money!

In case you did not know how MrBeast manages to be so philanthropic & still earn so much money, here’s a small brief. The way MrBeast ‘s channel functions is a mixture of indirect crowdfunding & sponsorship deals. Whenever MrBeast makes these outrageous videos of gifting away cars and islands, he amasses a huge view count. Thus, be earns from YouTube monetization.

Moreover, major corps also flock to advertise on his channel & thereby sponsor his videos. Sometimes, they even sponsor his donations themselves. This way MrBeast maintains his finances while also being philanthropic.

Yesterday, MrBeast uploaded a long thread on Twitter where he revealed this interest.

“Like whenever I see a channel blow up, I wish I could… buy shares in it”, he said.

Acc. to MrBeast, it’d be wonderful if YouTube came with this option. MrBeast also confessed that he hated the stock market & found it “boring”. So, this’d be a much more organic way to indulge for him.

While it’s very much possible that Jimmy was merely joking, fans can’t help but wonder if he actually has similar plans. Nothing, as far content goes, is out of MrBeast ‘s ambit. Moreover, he regularly donates to streamers already to help them grow.

So, an attempt of investing in creators, long term & directly, isn’t an unthinkable idea for him. If it happens, it’ll be a major help to up and coming creators. Therefore, the move holds in it the promise to change the face of content creation & collaboration forever.
