“Chris Paul is vaccinated, will miss one game at most”: Jalen Rose confirms that Suns’ MVP candidate is in position to stage quick comeback from Covid protocol leave
Jalen Rose has given Suns fans a reason to breathe easy after confirming that Chris Paul is vaccinated for Covid. CP3 is currently isolated.
The 2021 NBA ‘Covid’ playoffs have been affected by more injuries than any previous postseason in league history. It’s so bad now that Kawhi Leonard and Chris Paul will probably become the 8th and 9th All-Stars to miss playoff games this year. Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid have all already missed games.
Kawhi was injured in a late 4th quarter incident that caused a knee sprain for him. He’d initially said he’s fine and good to go for the next game, but subsequent scans have shown that he’s not right at all.
CP3, meanwhile, has had the unlucky coincidence of contracting Covid-19, or being in contact with someone who had it. He’s going to have to wait for the winner of Clippers vs Jazz. This series likely isn’t going to be longer than 6 games if Kawhi sits out for more than a game.
“Chris Paul is vaccinated, will miss one game at most”: Jalen Rose
Jalen Rose, unlike other NBA fans, has seen a bright side to all the gloomy news to hit our airwaves this morning. He took to ‘Get Up’ along with Mike Greenberg to clarify that Chris Paul isn’t going to miss much time:
“Unlike the Kawhi Leonard situation, this one is a doom and gloom for me. Because as of this week he’s already been vaccinated. And I know the word indefinitely makes you feel like he many not be in the next series.”
“I don’t anticipate him missing more than 1 game at the most, just based on the dynamics of time and if protocol has worked.”

Jalen is one of the few analysts who’s likely to be plugged in to Chris Paul person-to-person. As a former player, Rose is revered in his role by players, current and former alike. Realistically speaking, he’s unlikely to get up on morning TV and lie just to make a story of it.
