“Dwight Howard wants to team up with LeBron James again”: League sources shockingly reveal a return to the Lakers could happen for the NBA champion
Reports suggest Dwight Howard could return to Los Angeles for a third stint with the Lakers during this upcoming free agency
Dwight Howard may not be the star he once was, but he has proven that he is still a very good player.
This past season, the player looked really good with the 76ers, even in the postseason. Of course, he came off the bench whenever Embiid was healthy. However, in his role, we must say he was very impressive.
Given his performances and skill set, there is speculation that if he enters free agency, there will be a reasonably large market waiting for him. But, according to recent reports, it seems the player only has eyes for one team right now. And it is not the Philadelphia 76ers.
Let’s get into it.
Dwight Howard is reportedly interested in a return to the Lakers during this offseason
Yep, it may be time for stint 3… or so we’d like to say.
Frankly, as much as we believe Dwight Howard would want to return to the LA Lakers, we just don’t think this move would make any sense. Why?
Well, let’s see.

The Lakers technically already have three centers. Andre Drummond and Marc Gasol are there already. Add to that the fact that reports have suggested that Anthony Davis will move to the five next season, and well, you have yourself one high obstacle.
We still think that if Howard entered free agency, there would be a plethora of franchises where he’d be a very good fit. Even if you think strictly about contending teams, the 76ers, Celtics, and even the Jazz could be great fits for the player.
But, if it’s the Lakers he wants, we think it’s disappointment that awaits him.
