Having Hustled $6000 From the Bubble, Jimmy Butler Mocks 'Cheap' Teammates Over $20 Cup of Coffee: "Nobody on My Team Can Afford It"

Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat defied all expectations and odds to be in the NBA Finals after finishing the season as the eight seed in the East. And perhaps the biggest reason behind that fact is the chemistry between the franchise’s players. They truly do seem to embody the ‘All for One, and One for All’ morale between them, something that is highly admirable. And yet, apparently, even that isn’t enough for them to pay $20 to support Jimmy Butler’s cheeky little business venture.

Back in the 2020 NBA bubble, Butler wasn’t just focusing on basketball. Instead, as Michael Jordan often did, he looked for ways to hustle money out of people’s pockets. Butler devised the perfect strategy to hustle NBA players out of $6000. And that was the birth of his coffee venture, ‘The Big Face Brand’. But while business is still booming, Butler’s teammates want no part of it.

Jimmy Butler explains the hilarious reason why his teammates don’t buy coffee from him

$20 for a cup of coffee is not a cheap amount, not even for millionaire basketball players. NBA players are stereotypically infamous for spending their money on overpriced luxury products. But seems like the Heat roster draws the line at coffee.

During a press conference, Butler was asked about his teammates buying his coffee. The Heat star had this to say to explain his teammates’ unwillingness to buy his coffee. The Miami Heat posted the clip of the interaction on Instagram.

Interviewer: “Is anybody else on the team drinking your coffee?”

Butler: “I grade it (the coffee) 10/10. And nobody on my team can afford it, so they don’t want to go over there and pay for it.”

Butler’s hilarious reply prompted the room to burst into laughter. The Big Face Brand page found itself in staunch agreement with their owner, reposting his statement on their story to spread the word. You can find the screenshot in the following tweet.

Considering that the Heat star intends to make his brand one of the biggest brands out there, he may need to take a hard look at his prices once. However, given the person he is, and his stance on his brand, that is quite unlikely.

That being said, there is one person who was able to scam him out of a cup of Big Face Coffee every single time. In fact, as Butler once revealed, this Heat player never paid for a single cup he drank.

Goran Dragic was cunning enough to never pay for his cup of Big Face Coffee

Jimmy Butler was infamously rigid with his policies about his coffee. In fact, they turned people off so much, many would take one look at his big board and turn right around.

However, Goran Dragic was apparently an exception to all the rules. And it was all because he knew how to sweet-talk Butler, as the Heat superstar once revealed. Read all the details right here.
