“I’d pay to see Ron Artest against Jake Paul”: Donovan Mitchell challenges YouTuber to fight former Lakers champion post Nate Robinson win
Donovan Mitchell is a man of the people. Following Jake Paul’s knockout of Nate Robinson, the Jazz star egged him to challenge Metta World Peace.
Many believed that Nate Robinson had the edge over Jake Paul given his athletic background. The Dunk Contest legend got complacent. It was clear from the fight that he’d gone in unprepared to face even a medium level boxer like the 23-year-old.
Jake Paul finished the fight quickly. He nearly took the W in the first round itself with a right. The bell saved Nate, but he couldn’t hold on too much longer as the YouTuber floored him with a nearly identical punch in the second round.
I’d pay to see Ron Artest go against Jake Paul😂😂

The fight elicited a ton of reactions from the NBA world. Although they were supportive of their guy, they also gave credit to Jake Paul for his efficiency.
While Steph Curry and Joel Embiid had a bit of banter with Nate Robinson, Donovan Mitchell approached it from a different angle. Given how well Jake Paul shaped up against Nate, the Spida wants to see how he’ll fare against the NBA’s famed enforcer.
Everyone remembers the role Metta World Peace played in ‘Malice in the Palace’. Called Ron Artest at the time, Metta was suspended for the rest of the 2004-05 NBA season. Footage shows him taking the fight to several spectators at the Auburn Palace.
This fight has proved that one cannot just go up as a plain street fighter against Jake Paul, who’s definitely got some skill as a pro boxer. If Metta were ever to seriously consider fighting him, he would have to be well prepared.
It’s another matter that this is not an event likely to ever happen. NBA players don’t usually switch to boxing as an alternate career.
