Is James Wiseman playing tonight vs Clippers? Warriors release injury report for their marquee clash with Kawhi Leonard and co
James Wiseman is listed as day-to-day after he missed a Covid test during the All-Star break. The Warriors will take a final call before the game.
The Warriors are now 10th in the Western Conference, and in dire need of a winning streak. Luka Doncic and his Mavericks overtook them in the standings with wins over the Spurs and the Thunder. The Grizzlies took 9th spot from them with their win over Washington last night.
This year’s playoff format involves a 7th and 8th-place play-in tournament for the first time in league history. So technically, the Warriors don’t ‘need’ to go above their current league standing to make the playoffs.
James Wiseman has been on and off for the Warriors so far. The youngster is still quite raw, but he’s displayed quite the skillset already. Bob Myers will be hoping that Draymond Green knocks some defensive IQ into his play.
Wiseman is averaging 11.8 points per game, but he’s only seeing an average of 21 minutes on a per-game basis. He puts himself in foul trouble far too often to consistently see floor time.
Is James Wiseman playing tonight vs Warriors?
The 7-footer missed a Covid test a few days back, due to which he’s currently being sanctioned by the NBA. Wiseman missed the Warriors’ practice session ahead of their game against the Clippers yesterday.
Anthony Slater reports that Wiseman’s availability for this game is now up in the air:
James Wiseman missed a test during the All-Star break, so wasn’t available to practice for the Warriors tonight in Los Angeles. Steve Kerr said he “doesn’t know” what that means for Wiseman’s availability vs Clippers tomorrow.

In Wiseman’s absence, the Warriors will have to rely heavily on their wings for scoring. Eric Paschall will likely get some extended minutes. Kevon Looney will be their starter on the night even if Wiseman does make the final cut for this game.
