“Riley Roos Are Cooler Than Mine!”: While Stephen Curry Works Out with Scoot Henderson, Ayesha Curry ‘Twins’ with 10 Y/O Daughter Riley

Now that the 2022-2023 season has concluded, the NBA community prepares to shift its focus to the upcoming draft. French phenom Victor Wembanyama is projected to be the #1 pick and Scoot Henderson is expected to be selected next. After getting swept by Monaco in the LNB Finals, Wemby has now bid adieu to France. While the 7-feet-4 prodigy was with his Metropolitans 92 team for the past few weeks, Henderson hasn’t been wasting any time in the offseason either. With Stephen Curry mentoring him, the former G-League Ignite star has constantly been hitting the gym. Usually, Steph is not seen hitting the gym so early in the summer. He tends to spend some quality time with his family after the conclusion of the postseason. However, while Ayesha Curry was out “twinning” with her daughter Riley recently, the Golden State Warriors superstar was recently seen getting his shots up with Scoot.

Steph and Ayesha spoil their kids as much as possible. For their eldest daughter’s 10th birthday, the family made a visit to Dave & Busters – an arcade sports bar/restaurant. With slightly more than a month remaining for her 11th birthday, Ayesha shared some one-on-one time with Riley during which the mother-daughter duo was seen “twinning”.

Ayesha Curry “twins” with daughter Riley

The 34-year-old cookbook author recently made a trip with her 10-year-old to what seemed like a mall. Posting a photo on her Instagram story, the wife of the two-time NBA MVP showed off her and her daughter’s crocs while going down the escalator. Calling her daughter’s “way cooler” than her, Ayesha further mentioned how the mother-daughter pairing was “twinning”. The story was captioned:

“Riley roos are way cooler than mine but. TWINNING.”

While Ayesha and Riley spend some quality time together, Steph Curry was at Stanford “prepping” Scoot Henderson for the season. Sharing a reel posted by the 19-year-old, the four-time NBA champ captioned it:

“Put in some slight work with @thereal0_ last night! Preppin him for the season”

In the video, the two guards were seen working on different types of shot selections – transition 3s, off-the-dribble 3s, side steps, step-backs etc. Working out with the GOAT shooter, the hyped prospect is getting ready to back the former’s claim of him being “an unbelievable talent”.

Stephen Curry has often hyped up Scoot Henderson

This isn’t the first time that Henderson has worked out with Chef Curry and co. Immediately after the conclusion of the G-League season, the teenager was seen getting trained by Steph’s team in Oakland. Over the past few weeks, the two-time scoring champ has also dished out huge praises for the youngster during a recent Inside the NBA interview:

“Scoot’s a unbelievable talent. He’s a high-character guy. It’s going to be cool to compete with him on the floor.”

Stuck in a dilemma between selecting Henderson or Brandon Miller with their #2 pick, the Charlotte Hornets recently invited them both to meet franchise owner Michael Jordan.

Scoot was earlier a unanimous choice for the #2 pick. However, Miller’s popularity among scouts and analysts has skyrocketed over the past few weeks. Both players bring unique attributes to the table that any team can benefit from. It’ll be interesting to see which of the two players the Hornets franchise places their bet on.
