Kendrick Perkins calls out fellow analyst Stephen A. Smith for not including Wizards star Russell Westbrook in a recent list.

Russell Westbrook has been one of the best absolute best players in the league this season. No doubt about it. The Wizards star has started to hold back his scoring a bit for the sake of efficiency during the last few games.
Instead, he has looked to make easy scoring opportunities and extra possessions for his teammates during games. And this mentality has him breaking records almost every game.

The Brodie is arguably even more valuable to the team than his co-star in Bradley Beal. His ability to make the whole team better is one of the biggest reasons the franchise has been able to rack up wins, despite their rocky start to this campaign.
ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins is among the many in the NBA community that have praised Westbrook’s greatness during this period extensively. So, he was absolutely appalled when fellow analyst Stephen A. Smith cruelly left the point guard off a recent list he made.
“Russell Westbrook should be on this damn list”: Kendrick Perkins
On a recent episode of an ESPN Show ‘First Take’, Stephen A. Smith was asked to give his top 5 point guards in the league right now. Most of his picks were about what you would expect. But, as Big Perk noticed, a very significant name was mysteriously left off the list.
Yep, Russell Westbrook was apparently not good enough to make the cut for the Knicks fan. And Kendrick Perkins had something to say about it.

Another issue with Smith’s list is his selection at 5. Yes, Luka Doncic is undoubtedly an incredible player. However, the ESPN analyst had specifically said the following.
“I’m not picking LeBron James because I’m not picking forwards for this list.”
Luka Doncic is similar to James in that respect. He has the size of a forward and, but the skills and passing vision of a guard. So, if the King was left off this list, shouldn’t Doncic as well?
Overall, though, it is difficult to disagree with Perk. Russell Westbrook has been displaying his greatness to the world during almost every game for the last month or so. Perhaps Stephen A. Smith needs to put more respect on the Brodie’s name after all.
