New Suicide Squad Game Trailer pays Tribute to Kevin Conroy's Batman

Suicide Squad is the newest game set in line for DC’s game universe set to incorporate many DC icons. As we learned at the Game Awards, Batman will be one of them.

As Task Force X attempts to escape with The Flash, we discover someone is chasing him. That someone also happens to be the Task Force’s next target, The Dark Knight.

Suicide Squad Game Trailer reveals Kevin Conroy’s Batman

Besides Kevin Conroy playing Batman one last time, the most surprising fact is that this game is set in the Arkhamverse. Why is that surprising? Because we saw Batman die in Arkham Knight when he activated the Knightfall Protocol.

If this game is set in the Arkhamverse, how is Batman alive? That will be one of the leading questions fans will have when playing this game.

The trailer begins with the Squad retreating to Arkham Asylum after capturing The Flash. Captain Boomerang corners him while revealing it is his dream to kill The Flash with one of his boomerangs. We see something like a chip fall out of the flash, which could be related to the mind control the Justice League is in. We see the lights go dim as Harley recognizes the cue as Batman. The Squad sees a security guard running towards them but is taken to the shadows by Batman’s Batclaw.

Harley remarks that he does not kill as a prison guard’s limp body falls toward the Squad. Batman comes on screen with his Arkham Suit and purple eyes and presses a button that resembles an activator for an explosive.

The trailer cuts out with Kevin Conroy’s voice saying,” I am Vengeance, I am the Knight, I am Batman,” as a ‘Thank you, Kevin’ message shows up on the screen.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League releases on May 26th, 2023, for Xbox XS, Playstation 5, and PC.
